Removing your facial hair can be least pleasant,  it doesn’t have to be difficult as long as you choose the right method according to your hair type. Hair growth can occur due to genetics or hormonal changes. If you’re bothered by the hair that grows on your face, here’s what you need to know about each possible method!

Let’s start with the basics:

Threading:

This is the most basic way of removing the facial hair in Asian countries since it’s the most safe method that doesn’t involves chemical. So there’s no risk of skin reaction, you may feel a little pain as the thread pulls and twists unwanted hair from the follicles.  Although you can reduce pain by applying numbing cream or a warm compress afterward.

Depilatory  cream

Depilatory creams are another easy and quick way to remove facial hair. These creams are cheaper than waxing but they contain chemical ingredients that are generally safe, although there is a risk for a reaction. If you’re using it for the first time, do a patch test first and apply a small amount of cream to your skin. If you see any signs of reactions such as redness, bumps or itchiness, know that it’s not suitable for your skin type. Wait at least 24 hours after a patch test before applying the cream over larger sections of your face.

 Shaving

It is the most  fastest way to remove facial hair, razor blade lifts and cuts hair at the skin’s surface. However, the results aren’t very long-lasting. Your face will remain clear for 3-4 days then you’ll have to re-shave. This method is quick and safe but it can cause ingrown hair. For best results, make sure the area your face is clean, apply a layer of soap or shaving cream. This will give you a smooth surface and removes the threat of any cuts. Always glide the shaver in the direction of hair growth.

Waxing

Waxing is the most quick way to remove a lot of facial hair in less time. It’s perfect for women who suffer from a lot of facial hair and those who want to have defined eyebrows. The effects of waxing last for about two or more weeks, which is pretty good in comparison to shaving. Before you wax, do a patch test on your skin to see if you develop an allergic reaction, and to make sure the wax is the right temperature. The wax shouldn’t feel uncomfortably hot. It should easily glide over your skin.
