Overpriced Makeup Products…

Reading time 3 Minutes

Making mistakes is in our human nature, but making mistakes when it costs you money, can get extremely expensive… And, makeup itself is very expensive too… if you are a makeup junky then you are well aware of that! Most of you are probably wasting away your hard earnings on makeup products that are seriously not even worth their price… and we’re not allowing that on our watch.

From time to time, hype gets created for products that are soon to launch, and we accept that because they are actually amazing, such as the Kylie Lip Kits or the liquid version of Nars Orgasm Blush. However, there are times, when hype is created for products that are extremely overpriced and don’t really deserve such a hype or cult following. We’ve compiled this go-to guide for you so you never waste your money on the wrong makeup products again.

1. Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette

Price: $54

The shades do range from mattes to shimmers, however, there isn’t a wide range of shades to choose from even while creating a smoky eye.

2. Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara

Price: $24

We’ve tried mascara’s that are much cheaper to invest in and they work better..

3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade

Price; $23

The formula of this eyebrow product got too dry and flaky for us…

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

Price: $40

When it comes to contouring, we prefer Benefit’s Hoola bronzer instead…

5. Lancome Eyeliner

Price: $32

It dries out too quickly…

6. Chanel Blue Mascara

Price: $32

Blue mascara probably wouldn’t suit our Desi skin tones…

7. Zoeva Makeup Brushes

Price: Rs. $202

They are super good quality brushes, but why they gotta be so expensive!?

8. Huda Beauty Foundation

Price: $40

Don’t get us wrong Huda Beauty lashes and liquid lipsticks are awesome! But her foundation had a great hype and loads of girls claimed it made their face cakey after application…

9. Urban Decay Setting Spray

Price: $32

An essential for summer! However, loads of girls claim the ELF setting spray is equally as good, if not, better.
