Product Review: Delete Makeup

by

Reading time 3 Minutes

No more, do we have to keep purchasing makeup removing wipes or purchase products to remove our makeup…

Delete Makeup is launching in Pakistan, and it is portrayed as a chemical-free makeup removing miracle. And, we got the chance to review it. Ideally, it would be best if we just had to carry around a single product to remove our makeup! (We’re drooling over the amount of space we’ll save while traveling)

At Beauty Hooked, we’ve compiled a full review on this recent launch… so continue reading if you would like to know if it’s Beauty Hooked Approved or not.

Product Description

  • Delete makeup claims to remove your full makeup (even waterproof makeup) using just water.
  • Can be used up to 100 times and it is machine washable so it can be used over and over again.
  • Delete Makeup is made of the finest material (100 % polyester) that leaves your face feeling soft and clean and is hypoallergic.

Packaging (10/10)

  • This brilliant polyester towel comes in two different colors: pink and blue.
  • And, it is in the form of a hand glove.
  • It is packaged in a printed plastic packet with a ziplock handle, so you can store the towel in it after each use.
  • It also has detailed instructions of ‘how to use’ it, printed on its back.

Texture (8/10)

  • Delete makeup feels great against the skin almost like silk as it is made of 100 % polyester fiber.
  • One side is smooth while the opposite side is made of rougher strands.

Size (6/10)

It isn’t too big in size, it is almost equivalent to the palm of one’s hand.

How to Use it?

  • Wash the product in your washing machine before the first use
  • Wet the towel under warm water
  • Remove your makeup by using a circular motion.
  • Wash it again for the next use

How it Works

The key difference between delete makeup and normal makeup removing products is the surface zone.

The product is made of numerous little strands, so there are significantly a bigger amount of strands in this fabric which grate and absorb the makeup, successfully removing it.

Delete Makeup In Action

We experimented with Delete Makeup, by trying to remove different types of products:

  • Dr. Jart BB Cream Foundation
  • NYX Ombre Blush On
  • Clinique Mascara
  • Felt Tip Eyeliner
  • Kathelene Lipstick
  • Flormar Lipstick
  • Diana of London 2000 kisses Liquid Lipstick

In the process of applying these products on our arm, we wet the fabric with some warm water and began deleting.

Here is what happened after 1 swipe of delete makeup.

Here is what happened with 10 swipes of delete makeup.

Here is how Delete Makeup Looks after using it

Wash it after EVERY use!

You should wash it after each time you use it, to ensure no bacteria or dirt comes in contact with your skin. It is encouraged to wash it in a washing machine,  but it can be washed by hand also.

Why Not just use a NORMAL towel?

The distinction between ordinary towel material and Delete Makeup is that its delicate little strands are designed to pull makeup off without rubbing the material too harshly on your skin. It also shields your makeup from spreading on your skin.

What Not To Expect…

It is NOT a substitution for your CTM routine… No, No, you need to continue to cleanse, tone and moisturize as normal.

What Can Be Improved

We loved pairing it with makeup removing oil, which removes all your makeup and other dirt/bacteria as well! It left our skin smooth and solid.

Pros (In Favor)

  • Soft material
  • Doesn’t spread makeup on your entire face
  • Suitable for sensitive skin
  • Chemical free
  • Can be used as a delicate exfoliator
  • Pocket-friendly
  • Can be used up to 100 times
  • Dry’s rapidly

Cons (Not in Favor)

  • Doesn’t fully remove makeup
  • Doesn’t remove all types of makeup products
  • Additional rubbing is required to fully remove makeup (over exfoliating may make your skin suffer)
  • Needs to be washed after every use
  • Bacteria will develop if not washed after every use which could prompt breakouts

Final Verdict

The concept is great but the product needs improvement… It can be used, but for a better result, it should be used with a mild cleanser or cleansing oil. However, it is still a revolutionary product for us lazy girls! (HaHa)
